We would like to congratulate Cycling Dumfries on their excellent contribution to helping Dumfries move towards becoming more active travel friendly.
They recently published a very comprehensive book called “Missing Links” which was distributed to elected members, council officers and an array of local decision makers. The book, which was funded from a public campaign, comprises 26 chapters, each outlining gaps in the cycling, walking and wheeling infrastructure in and around Dumfries.
Not only do they lay out the problems as they see them, they also have proposals on how to fix these gaps and how the town would benefits if each of these missing links is closed.
Well done to all the team at Cycling Dumfries and we look forward to the dedicated website being launched in the Autumn. In the meantime, if you would like to download a PDF of the book, you can free of charge at Missing Links.
